Mel's has been around for a while, I've been there several times, and have never been disappointed. Service is friendly and food selection is decent, I always get breakfast and it's always good.

Best breakfast around not greasy and for 7 or 8 dollars you can't beat it when you see a line up on the weekends to get in at Mels dinor that says it all, I have been going there for 20 years it's still my favourite spot

Mel's is a great place for a good meal. The food is consistent and if you pick the right meal, their value can't be beat.Breakfast is their forte but they have lunch meals and sandwiches.I almost always go for the Hungry Man. For under $10 and enough food for two it's hard to beat.3 eggs anystyle2 pancakes4 Bacon, 2 Sausage AND 1 HamHome fries2 slices toastOJ or Apple Juice Tea or Coffee (as much as you need to keep you awake)Find me a better deal and I'll buy YOU breakfast!

What a great dive in the South of Newmarket. Delicious food and great portions and great prices.

It's decent, Nothing special. Has some nice murals. Plenty of parking. Close dinning area.Line ups are common.

Nice little out of the way diner. It was busy when I was there yesterday for lunch.Reasonably clean. Reasonably friendly. Reasonable prices. No reason not to go again. However no particular reason to actually go there again except for proximity. Absolutely nothing outstandingly special or endearing. However, not to upset the owners with any negativity I would have no problem eating there again .

It was by my suggestion that we go to this diner. Not again! My omelette was flat and dry. I ate 2/3 of it, thinking not to complain . When I opened it up, it had been totally overlooked on the one side. Then I made the complaint! Zero $$ discount from the cook. There are plenty of other breakfast places that care about their quality of food served.
